Welcome to the EHA 41st National Conference Conference

On behalf of the Conference Committee of Environmental Health Australia, I invite you to Hobart this October to attend our 41st National Conference. The conference will be held at The Grand Chancellor, Hobart, from 31 October to 3 November 2016. The theme of the conference is A Field of Champions. This theme aims to explore some of the extraordinary work undertaken by environmental health champions in Australia and also the world. The theme also falls in nicely with the timing of the Melbourne Cup, Australia’s biggest horse racing event.

The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for environmental health professionals and professionals in related fields to extend their skills and knowledge by hearing from Champions within these professions. The program includes key note speakers based nationally and internationally, topical presentations and case studies designed to engage delegates and to maximise professional development opportunities relevant to their work. We encourage all members of national, state and local government to join us as well as those in private industry, academics and students.

Environmental Health Australia (EHA) is the premier environmental health professional organisation in Australia which advocates regarding environmental health issues and represents the professional interests of all environmental health practitioners.

Tasmania is an established popular international visitor destination, and is listed in Lonely Planet’s top 10 regions of the world. Hobart itself was named as Lonely Planet’s #4 ‘Must See Destination’ for 2015. Hobart captures some of the true essence of our relaxed Australian lifestyle. Enjoy its diverse landscape – from snow capped mountains, to lush green forests, to rolling vineyards, to golden beaches and turquoise waters.

Please join our mailing list to be updated on details of the 2016 Conference as they are released, including key dates, session themes, keynote speakers and the social program. The EHA 2016 Conference Committee committee look forward to welcoming you to Hobart in October for Environmental Health, A Field of Champions!
